Create your own course
Step 1
Create course – To create a new course, go to “Courses” in the left nav. You click on “+”, enter the name of your course and its detailed purpose.
Step 2
Set up topic hierarchy – Here you set up subjects, categories, topics and subtopics via an AI chat interface. You can give it a web link, image etc. as an input to create the hierarchy. You can continue chatting with AI until you are satisfied with the list. E.g., you can say “Combine the topic ‘Simple Harmonic motion’ with ‘Rotation'” Or split the topic into multiple subtopics.
Step 3
After that you ‘Save course’ to finalize. You will still be able to rename/add categories but the chat interface will go away after saving the course. Please note that AI chat is not retained when you switch tabs or load another screen. So please make sure you complete your chat and save the course.
Step 4
Please note the topic hierarchy drives what students see on their ‘Learn’ section. You can verify it by switching to ‘Student view’. Generally, you may want to keep the number of topics less and subtopics more. From the learn section, students would be able to practice topic wise. You would also be able to assign work at topic or subtopic level.
Step 5
Set up practice question bank – Questions in the question bank are available for students in the learn section and also to tutors when assignment homework by choosing topic or subtopic. You can add questions via uploading a PDF, generate questions via AI, or create questions by directly entering text on the question screen. You can use AI’s help to add answers and solutions to questions.
Step 6
Set up problem sets – You can create problem sets using questions from the question bank, or questions uploaded via PDF or generated using AI. You can also add answers and solutions to questions using the help from AI.
Step 7
Set up tests – Similarly you can create custom tests by uploading questions via PDF or creating questions directly.
Step 8
Set up learning material – You can upload learning videos, study material etc. into the learning library.
Step 9
Test the course by switching to student view or assigning work to yourself as a student.
Step 10
Publish the course.
