Every question written by test prep experts. No AI slop.
How MentoMind Content Is Made
Every practice question, full-length test, and lesson on MentoMind is written and reviewed by experienced test prep educators. None of it is generated by AI. Each question is built against the official specifications of the exam it covers, reviewed by a second expert for accuracy and difficulty, and refined using real student performance data. AI on MentoMind personalizes practice, tracks skills, and supports students. It does not write the questions students practice on.
Who Writes Our Questions
MentoMind’s content is created by educators who have taught, tutored, and written for these exams professionally.
Academic Specialist
Chris holds a BA from Harvard University and a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford. Before joining MentoMind, he prepared students for the SAT and ACT as an academic tutor at Top Tier Admissions and Academic Approach. He now oversees question writing and review across the platform.
Academic Content Expert
Patrick writes and reviews practice questions and full-length tests, ensuring every item matches the format, difficulty, and reasoning demands of the real exam.
Marketplace courses meet the same high standard. Select courses, including AP Math and ISEE, are created by established test prep organizations such as Geeksure and Austin Learning Center, with real educators who teach these exams every day. Humans write the content, experts review it, and no AI generates it.
How Every Question Gets Made
1
Written against the real exam
Each question starts with the official exam specification: the tested skill, the question format, the difficulty band, and the timing constraints of the actual test. Writers work from the published frameworks of the College Board, ACT Inc., Scholastic Testing Service, ERB, and Pennsylvania state standards.
2
Reviewed by a second expert
No question enters the platform on one person’s judgment. A second reviewer checks each item for accuracy, a single defensible correct answer, plausible distractors, and alignment with the intended skill and difficulty level.
3
Calibrated for difficulty
Every question is tagged by topic, subtopic, skill, and difficulty so the adaptive engine can serve the right item to the right student at the right time. Difficulty ratings reflect how the skill is actually tested on the exam, not how hard the question looks.
4
Refined with real student data
After questions go live, we monitor performance across thousands of student attempts. Items that confuse students for the wrong reasons or drift from exam realism get revised or retired.

AI does not
- Write the questions in our course library. Every question is written and reviewed by human experts.
- Create the lessons or tests students study from. Experts build them against real exam specifications.
- Replace educators. Tutors and teachers stay in control of assignments, feedback, and instruction.
AI does
- Adaptive practice. The platform analyzes each student's performance and serves practice targeted at their weakest skills, drawn from our expert-written question bank.
- Skill tracking and analytics. Real-time reports show students, tutors, and parents exactly where a student stands, topic by topic and skill by skill.
- A curriculum-aligned learning companion. Students get step-by-step hints and post-practice summaries. It works within our expert-written curriculum. It is not an open-ended chatbot.
- Tutor content tools. Tutors can digitize their own worksheets and build their own question banks. These materials belong to the tutor's program and are separate from MentoMind's expert-written course library.
